Become a Pattern Tester

Dear Ladies -and Gentlemen,

Since the fashion industry started to feed garments to a mass-market (around the mid-19th-century), it started to categorise us into sizes of S-M-L or 3s8-40-42 or however size charts are counted in your country. But- who does really fit in these charts from tip to toe? 3% of all women on Earth? We are all so different – which is actually the wonderful thing about us!

Tall, small, plus size or petite : We are all so different!

Maybe it was because of sizing that you started sewing or you had your own style that wasn’t covered by the trend and fashion brands or you have a love for beautiful fabrics…. I fell in love with sewing, because my auntie and my mum told me and I loved to experiment!

What I always found funny is: Sewing itself implements already so much creativity and individuality, so why are sewing patterns just available in S-M-L (or their equivalent) and why do we have to limit us again here to mass-produced-articles?

Maybe you have been a hobby sewer for years and you have purchased various patterns in the past. You tried different patterns from different suppliers. How often did it happen to you that you finished your garment and it didn’t turn out as great as you wished, because the fit was not right? Or maybe you have even tried to work with a sloper (basic dress or trousers pattern), which was great, but then you didn’t overcome the hurdle to develop this sloper into a fashionable pattern, because it was time consuming and complicated to draft and draw the pattern construction…..

I’ve heard from new clients or sewing students often enough that it’s frustrating to spend time, money, passion and effort to tailor a new piece and it didn’t fit, drape or shape in the way they wished.

This is why, from the very first years that I offered sewing classes in 2011, I tried to draft individual patterns directly to the body shape and size of my clients and students. To make my work easier I invested in a pattern-making software in 2018 and have been creating hundreds of patterns since then.

Now I feel as experienced and comfortable to start selling my patterns online: Individually created to the body shape of my client, made-to-measure, even personalised to empower extra creativity and your own style!

Now I need your help!
Please,
BECOME A SEWING PATTERN TESTER!

I’m looking for interested hobby sewers, who want to do a little collaboration with me: You can choose one sewing pattern and I will create it individually for your body size, made-to-measure just for you. You sew

  • Have your measurements taken at my atelier.

  • Let me print an individual pattern made-to-measure to your body size and silhouette.

Different from all ready-made-patterns on the market, this pattern is made for you individually. It will fit you personally better without spending annoying hours on adjustments!

  • Choose your own fabric and use this pattern to cut and sew your individual garment.

  • Fit your garment with me and give me feedback: Did you like the explanation how to use it? Were the pieces complicated? How do you like the fit?

Once you’ve finished your garment I’d love to take your pictures and post them on my website and through my social media.

Be part of a new journey to sew your heart out and be sure that your passion ends in a great well fitting garment!
