Shirring Boom

Shirring was “the word” of today’s Wedensday Mum&Kids class! One started to shirr and then we all couldn’t stop doing the same. This technique is so so cute and so so nice for the Summer. I think we are addicted to elastic bands now!

Shirring is a sewing technique where the bobbin thread is elastic and the machine top thread is not. The bobbin thread will shirr the fabric while sewing. This technique is very much used for creating several parrallel shirred lines.
