Projects in Progress

It is tricky to post all the nice projects that we are making in the sewing lessons. Once they are done, I forget to take a picture or some students even finish the last bits at home, so I don’t see the final work… Getting smart, I made some pics of projects in progress to…

A Skirt – it can’t be more simple

One of my new students bought a skirt 7 years ago in Australia. Since then she wore it days and nights, Winters and Summers and got many nice comments on it… 7 years makes even the best fabric a bit worn out and so she wanted to re-make it! We managed to copy the pattern…

A long A-Line Skirt

This beautiful skirt is a wrapped skirt in a beautiful A-line. On overlap of about 40cm makes it easy to walk. The beltband closes at the waist and we added three buttons along the sidehem. The textile is a fine but strongly woven cotton with dots.

Sewing Class for Girls: Part 2

And this is a wonderful bag, made of flower cotton, with lining, straps and the very elegantly catching flower appliques.

All lined and warm!

We had a wonderful Winter here in Tokyo again. 40cm of snow, ths most in 20(?) years? I enjoyed cozy sewing classes, sliding down white hills with my kid and watching the flakes falling. Julie, who has been sewing for more than 18 months now, decided to grab her knitting kit and made extra thick…
