It’s sometimes tricky to dress a kid …. when the sun is out, clothes shouldn’t be too warm, but then it get’s all over sudden really cool. The next days are cold in the morning, but warmer in the afternoons… and it’s still not cold enough for really warm down-filled jackets and padded pants. Our closet will explode, if I have to stuff all kinds of light and warm collections inside, so I decided to make so light clothes “warmer”!

Two examples are these pants. I just sew shorter pants from a velvet jersey and a wool knit over the leggins of my daughter. It seems to feel really comfortable. They are drying very quickly as well, because I only connected the top and left the legs sepereately.

Even if this isn’t the most amazing fashionable match, it’s still really convenient.
